Claire spends her time between Lincolnshire and Devon with her husband Matt and two young boys, Daniel and Joe. She has a passion for the outdoors and photography.
From a young age Claire knew she wanted to work in business finance and administration. Having left school after her GCSE’s, she started at college but very soon afterwards, relocated from Lincolnshire to Devon. Realising that she is a more “hands on” learner and keen to get involved in the real working environment, she didn’t re-enrol in college and instead commenced an Apprenticeship in Business Administration followed by another in Customer Service and finally completed her AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting – 2010.
Whilst completing her apprenticeships, Claire gained experience at a Financial Advisors, in Industry (working in the accounts department for a worldwide manufacturing firm), at a national Insolvency firm (in which she travelled Devon and Cornwall assisting with trading administrations and the final stages of liquidations) and finally settling in a large accountancy firm in the South West.
In 2018 and with lots of experience under her belt, Claire decided it was time to start her own bookkeeping business. Making Tax Digital was being introduced and she could see the struggle that Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) were facing with the move to digital records.
Having gained a reputation in the Cloud Department migrating clients onto the likes of Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and Sage Online, and training business owners and their staff on how to use the new digital software, word very quickly got around and with no marketing involved Claire was recommended for several local businesses, Churches and charities.
Today Claire strives to achieve a life that is balanced between her business interests, health and fitness, and spending time with her family and friends.
